Delicious Treats - Oatmeal Banana Bites

This is a great recipe I picked up and changed a little. Great for a healthy version of a cookie for those with a sweet tooth.

Oatmeal Banana Bites
Prep Time: 15 Min
Cook Time: 20 Min

Ingredients
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup chopped dates or 3/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • dash of cinnamon
  1. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet or a mini-muffin pan.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  3. In a large bowl, mash the bananas.
  4. Stir in oats, dates or chocolate chips, applesauce, vanilla and cinnamon.
  5. Mix well, and allow to sit for 15 minutes. These do not rise or spread, so if you may want to flatten if you want them to be cookies.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly brown.
