FASD

I've just finished reading a book on FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) called FASD Strategies not Solutions. It was good. Helped me understand WAY more about FASD and what the challenges are and how that would affect parenting. We were unsure of what it all was and then how it played out in a child's life. It's a hefty one! I'm glad I get it now!

I've also just read a textbook/training manual on the process of the family court system and how that works with fostering, adoption, child apprehension and all that stuff. It is meant for child case workers in the CAS System. It was really confusing and there were a lot of big words - But I trucked through it and understand (a little more) about how it all works from start to finish. I am no social worker, but now I can see why everything takes so long!

Not much news for us, we enjoyed our time in Cuba and really hoping this spring will grow our family!
